3M is seeking an Order Processor for the Safety & Graphics/Personal Safety located in Monroe, NC. At 3M, you can apply your talent in bold ways that matter. Here, you go.
Job Summary:
The person hired for the position of Order Processor will be responsible for picking and shipping functions as required, while complying with all departmental procedures. Ensure accurate processing of orders through the distribution center to service customer orders.
This position provides an opportunity to transition from other private, public, government or military environments to a 3M career.
Primary Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:
Read, interpret and follow basic blueprints, diagrams, engineering drawings, specifications, bills of materials, and other written instructions or procedures to accurately assemble equipment and products
Utilize hand held tools such as a hand-held screw and drill gun
Performing soldering, which is the process in which two or more metal items are joined together by melting and flowing a filler metal (solder) into the joint
Maintain inventory of product in work stations
Perform quality work checks to insure the product meets quality standards
Identify product defects and complete appropriate documentation when defects are identified
Rework and/or repair assembled equipment and products according to engineering specification changes
Perform all work in accordance with quality standards and established safety procedures
Maintain a clean and safe work area
This position may require:
Weekend work
Working overtime
Working on holidays as needed
Short notice shift coverage
Basic Qualifications:
Possess a High School Diploma/GED or higher (completed and verified prior to start) from an accredited institution
Preferred Qualifications:
Manufacturing Experience in a private, public, government, or military environment.

This posting is for an Order Processor position at 3M Monroe, NC. 3M anticipates that multiple openings for this position will occur over time. Qualified applicants may be considered as Order Processor openings occur at 3M Monroe, NC, and 3M will accept applications for up to 6 months from the posting date of this requisition.
