Cost Manager

Responsible for ThinkPad notebook product E2E Cost management. Cost Manager is a key role on ThinkPad notebook product offering team. This involves managing the cost from initial concept of the product until the product EOL. The cost of the product covers total product cost including manufacturing, Lenovo designed commodities, industry commodities, and other costs. Cost managers work activities follow the product lifecycle. Early in the lifecycle cost manager will gather information to develop the cost budget for new products. Cost budget is aligned with achieving brand cost financial and operational targets. It is created using external and internal information, trend data, historical information, and inputs from product offering team and others. Once budget is approved cost manager will focus offering team on achieving the cost budget. This includes implementing cost communication with cross function/Business Unit/Regions to identify cost opportunities/reductions. Also includes determining tradeoffs to achieve the cost budget. Cost manager will present the cost budget information, achievement to budget, and related analysis to executives based on product launch process.Once cost budget achieved the cost manager will be responsible for reviewing and approving the product cost that is loaded to internal systems. Cost manager is measured on accuracy and timeliness. Cost manager will communicate internally to regional sales teams the cost of the product, key feature costs, side by side comparisons, and other data analysis. Role includes continuous efforts with offering core team to minimize product changes that affect cost.After product launch, continue to manage change that affect cost, monitor the cost in internal systems for accuracy and changes, and find ways to further improve the cost.It is essential the cost manager update the cost status to the offering core team, proactively meet with stakeholders and teams to resolve issues, identify cost down opportunities, and understand industry and commodity changes. Drive cost saving in an effort to push revenue growth and meet company plans. Candidate will be responsible for multiple products in various lifecycle states and have non-product related duties for the cost team including reporting, tracking tasks, process improvement, and focus areas at the direction of manager.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
