Senior Legal Counsel, Commercial Litigation

Lenovo is seeking a Senior Legal Counsel, Commercial Litigation, reporting to the Executive Director, Litigation. The successful candidate will manage and drive commercial litigation cases from complaint to conclusion, collaborating with internal and outside counsel, specific subject matter experts, and stakeholders. Other desirable experience includes advising on litigation strategy, risk analysis, determining and managing case budgets, and developing/evaluating settlement proposals. The successful candidate will demonstrate an ability to thrive in a large, global environment while coordinating the efforts of internal paralegals and an outside counsel network, all within limited budgets. Strong communication and presentation skills will be necessary to explain complex legal matters to business leaders in a manner that is readily understandable in order to ensure well-informed business decisions.Chicago is preferred work location. Position Requirements
Job Requirements:- J.D. Degree ??? Current bar membership in the US- 7+ years of highly successful litigation experience, including product liability and class action matters - Experience leading litigation tasks, discovery management/collection, and working effectively with other attorneys and paralegals- Extensive experience leading key aspects of commercial litigation in the US- Pre-trial/disposition, and motion practice experience are requirements- Strong communication skills Desired Skills: - In-house legal experience or combination of in-house and firm experience- Experience with international commercial litigation and arbitration- Completion of a clerkship - Ability to prioritize and handle multiple matters simultaneously- Demonstrated business acumen, strong analytical skills, and the ability to grasp important business issues and legal issues facing the company

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
